i finally update with my finished mage. i ended up with icelock after having alchemist > necro. I get that i need better boots not caring about boots of shielding so waiting for 4 generals and hope better loot drops

Not bad at all. I'm impressed that you got that far on one life. Tempted to try it myself after I finish up my current hero (ranger but that'll change i think in Act 3)

naw, died on the warning against the flesh golem. its a fight i shoudda won but rolled bad and janna useless lol! i'm carrying on with mage tho until the end as i like the characeter.

pleased with getting to act 3, not bad eh?

not going good. had bad fight with the kalimari getting beatn up with ink bombs. wasted forest dew and 2 health potions to get past. Did not think i'd do raptors but martyr saved day when i would have took 13 damage. I like taht little ring!

taken ebenezer spell book and channelers robe. still alive

Are you going to keep with alchemist or try for Vesuvius and the pyro career? An extra die on top of all potions is a cool bonus so alchemist might be a good bet to keep in to thelast act?

Still alive. hehe reminds me of the barbarian dude in Abercrombies book who always says that when he drags him self up after another fight

thx all. I have put my mage stats up on my first post. I did die in count's ball but didnt count it as i made the rule that if the quest lets you die and lets you turn to a page then it is ok. i got as far as the final battle with the count so was pleased but even trolls blood didn't save me.

i don't think i will maanage unicorn horn but my speed okay. i have forest dew to use on final battle so see what happens...........

i wasn't expecting you to get past seared scar or the counts ball. sticking with alchemist makes some sense as i can see the good taste ability helping with the healing what is your gear and stats like?

ha not had time to play these last weeks. first mage died in act 1 on the ghouls in the church. i was bit over confident. started again and now in act 2 unicorns horn. playing alchemist and going ok. been very carefull!

warriors are pro I added my berserker hero to my first post.
next I’m trying mage and doing a hardcore mode of only 1 life to see where I get. Wish me luck

I find it much harder playing a warrior but more interesting and rewarding. Warrs have more options imo

These rogues have no armour and lower health, remember that With the right counters they will face a tough fight. This build is good tho. Passive damage is a real pain in the butt.

Am I the only warrior worried by these end game rogue builds? Seems to me they are very fast and hit HARD. I know that rogues are traditionally DPS-heavy melee monsters but I don't reckon my warrior could go toe to toe with one of these and do much harm. I worry about game balancing in the future; can warrior (and mage?) builds compete with this?

Notes: My berserker hero. Was more fun than playing my rogue in the end I really liked the speed boost of seeing red and the smile on my face of getting sixes for raining blows. Toughest fight was againt the dragon I used forest dew and trolls blood to get through it for the sword. Kickstart should be on every berserker list, an automatic heal on death and puts you right back into seeing red. Awesome! Berseker my favourite career so far.
