No, no reason to keep those two books. They’re only effective in Act 2. Throw them away, though story wise, it’s better to think that you’re giving them to your new medic ally, who studies old books and supplies healing potions.

Is there any use for keeping the books in ACT 3? (Book 1 LoS)

Is there a use for the books we got from Tanner in ACT 2 going into ACT 3? I have the Dwarven Lore and Field Guide, I am starting ACT 3 now but I don't know if I should throw the books away or not.

Also, will we be able to brew potions in ACT 3? If not, what happens to the herbs we gathered in ACT 2?
