Hey Ronan.

For some reason I don't seem to be having much success with stores 'down south'. Perhaps they're just not interested in an 'unknown' northerner <sob>. Must confess, I've not tried the Ilford store - if they have a vibrant gaming community then perhaps I am in with a chance ;)

At the moment I am selling collectors sets on ebay which come with a loot card and dice. Other than signing events, that is the only way to get a signed copy and goodies I'm afraid!

Hope you like the book, wherever you secure your copy!

I'm in London and I'd love for you to come here. My nearest Waterstones is Ilford and they already have a gaming community, so I think there'd be quite a crowd for you. If you are tired of touring, is it possible to get a signed copy and the dice/card dirst from you in any way ?

Why wouldn't i? I get 7 passive a round from poison mastery, disease and bleed i did have fire aura to give me 8!! [act 3 is awesome btw]

I've had word this morning that some people have received their amazon orders but others haven't. I'm not really sure what is going on with Amazon or other online retailers to be honest; these things are sadly out of my hands. The only thing I currently have control over is the collectors sets, which I am posting out same day where possible.

Still no news from play.com; I ordered the book on february 1st, but the site still marks it as "awaiting stock".... hoping they don't have problems to find it...

the hardest fights are the legendary monsters but they are meant to be hard. I haven't come close to killing hydra or snapjaw

save them till after sunken city, then you have the best equipment. Use marshsticks and vanish potions to win rounds and avoid their hits. I play assassin and have a lot of passive and combat damage. not sure about other paths. hardest fights are in sunken city as many enemies are immune to venom >.<

I've not found it that difficult so far. When you come up against something you can't kill like a legendary monster you just come back later. i just did vesuvius and now have the pyro career

What I like is that you discover something new all the time. your hero is changing as you play and you have to learn new tactics. when I die it is because of really bad luck or I dont use my abilities well enough. When I try again I am ok. The hardest fights are the legendary monsters but they are meant to be hard. I haven't come close to killing hydra or snapjaw. they are a dps race and i don't have the gear....... yet!

Its worth it. And least you don't have to wait for amazon to sort themselves out I'm already in act2. Loving every page so far. Not denying that the story draws heavily on its cliches (portals, legions etc.), but at least it does it knowingly and with flair. Very good book, although i wonder if those with less patience will stick at it. There is the occasional tough combat but the rewards and customisation win through. It does become very addictive, I am almost ashamed to say it!

Yes, they seem to be going out of their way to confuse people. I wonder how much of their site is automated based on certain conditions.

All I know is that my publisher said that Amazon will have ordered their stock last Thursday (the book is out, it exists and it is in the warehouse!). It takes about four days for that to translate to the site. So Monday or Tuesday, the book should be showing as in stock and orders despatched. I hope.

I have noted that Waterstones and WHSmith are flagging up the 17 Feb as the 'publication date'. No clue on that either. They should get their stock earlier than that. I think they do it as a safety net, while they wait for the books to come in.

EDIT: Of course, if people are worried, then there is always the collectors set available on eBay. I'm despatching same day in most cases
